SELF-EFFICACY AND PERFECTIONISM AMONG STUDENTS – PSYCHOMETRIC EXAMINATION OF USED SCALES

Summary

An investigation with General Perceived Self-Efficacy and Perfectionism Scale was carried out on 179 students of Faculty of Science and Arts in Zadar. On the basis of results obtained in previous investigations with these scales authors tested their psychometric properties.
The both scales have got satisfactory internal consistency (Cronbach alpha for general Perceived Self-Efficacy Scale was .85, and for Perfectionism Scale .69). results from the General Perceived Self-Efficacy Scales were compared with the results obtained on the samples of German university students (Schwarzer, 1996). It is possible to explain results an sample of Croatians as well as on sample of Germans in relation to one general factor-factor of general self-efficacy.
